This service is right for the client that needs a little bit of help. Maybe your painter is coming and you don’t know what colors to paint your rooms so they flow together. You’re not sure what type of window treatments will look best in your space. You want an expert opinion on the choices you’re considering for your project. Maybe you just want to discuss the best layout for your room. Those are the types of topics covered in our time together.

What to expect

I want you to get the most out of our appointment and ask clients to make a list of questions so we can address those things one at a time. I ask a lot of questions and also take pictures. If you have pictures you’d like to show me, that’s helpful too, depending on what your goals are. After our meeting, I’ll email you a list of items discussed.

Our philosophy is “Less is More,” so we rely on “To the Trade Only” resources that can provide merchandise exclusive to our clients’ needs. Full luxury service takes the stress off the client and allows them to enjoy the process.

Who is this service right for?

This service is right for busy people who lack the time, interest or resources to do it themselves. It’s perfect for people who want a level of customization not readily available elsewhere and have committed to making the investment by letting Jody handle the details. What to expect

Every full design project begins after our 90-minute design consultation (2-3 hours for a full house) where we discuss your goals for the space. This helps us determine a scope of work for the project which is the number of hours it takes to get from concept to completion.

Concept Phase

Our first meeting is a deep dive into figuring out how you want the space to function for you and your family. We’ll discuss room layout and try to get a feel for the way you live. You begin collecting inspiration pictures of rooms you love to help guide us in the right design and color direction. We ask anyone involved with the decision making to be present during our meeting.

Detailed Phase

Two space plans are presented and you select the one you like best. Modifications are made. Once the final plan is approved, we begin sourcing all design elements including; furniture, paint colors, wallpaper, rugs, art, lights, window treatments, and accessories. Samples of fabrics, rugs, wallpaper, paint colors, wood finishes are included when available. Two options for every design element are given where applicable. Mood boards are presented. Tear sheets of all items with pricing are provided. One key elevation is included so you can see what size art/mirror looks best on your walls. We meet with trade professionals to review your needs.

Purchasing & Installation

Merchandise is ordered and procured by Jody Sokol Design when payment is received. A timeline is set up with furniture delivery dates. Merchandise is delivered and inspected. Trades are supervised to our satisfaction. At the completion of your project, any outstanding issues will be resolved by us.

This service is perfect if you want to see different layouts for your room and want to know what size furniture will work in your space. You want a concept that has been designed exclusively for you that you can implement on your own.

What to expect

We’ll meet for up to 90 minutes to discuss how you live in the space, what changes you’d like to see, style preferences, color direction and the

  • Investment you’re comfortable making.
  • Pictures and measurements are taken.
  • You’ll be emailed 2 space plans and asked to select the plan you like best.
  • A mood board is created to your specifications which includes furniture, rugs, lamps and large accessories.
  • A shopping list of items is provided as well as a clickable link to make shopping a snap.
  • A binder will contain space plan, mood board and a shopping list for your convenience.
  • Furnishings are selected from Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel, Restoration Hardware, West Elm, William Sonoma Home, Safavieh, etc.
  • 30 minute follow-up is provided to answer any questions.

After our initial 90 minute design consultation, you are able to purchase our space plan.

Who is this service right for?

It’s perfect for someone who wants to shop for themselves, is afraid of buying the wrong size furniture and wants exact measurements. (up to 20×20 room)

  • Measurements and pictures are taken.
  • At our meeting, up to 1 hour, you’ll be presented with 2 space plans and a key wall elevation. This includes 1 revision.

Sometimes a client is working on an ongoing home renovation project and wants a professional available to them as issues arise.
Maybe you just need validation that your materials work together and you’re moving in the right direction. This service can also be used to help clients research merchandise and can be done virtually or in person.

Who is this service right for?

This service is right for people that would like to know that they have access to a designer during their home renovation and do not require
full service design or for people sourcing items online but don’t have the time to do it themselves.

What to expect

This service is sold in a 5 hour time block which can be done in person in 90 minute intervals or in 30 minute intervals via ZOOM.
This is not an instant response service and appointments must be scheduled in advance.
